About us
Worldwide network
As the Mission Center of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, we are in regular contact with our fellow sisters around the globe. Our Mission Centre was established in the 1930s, when the first sisters of our community set off as missionaries to various countries and continents. It took care of the necessary departure papers, ship tickets and visas, informed and inspired the numerous missionary groups that were formed throughout Germany to support the missionaries, and ensured that donations of material and money were forwarded. What the German missionaries started is now being carried on by sisters from 42 nations in 29 countries on all continents. Our support is directed to them.
Commitment to a good future
In order to shape our world in a sustainable way and change it for the better, we see three important areas of work:
Focus: Personality development
Ultimately, true change cannot be achieved through external reforms, it must come from within – from the hearts of the people. That is why we are particularly concerned with the development of authentic personalities who are able and willing to actively shape the future based on Christian principles and values.
We are committed to this goal of „changing the world from within“ in all our areas of activity: in schools and day-care centres, in hospitals and social-service facilities, in acute emergency aid, in pastoral work and in the Schoenstatt Movement.
Together we achieve more
Our projects in service to the people are often not self-supporting. Much of what can or cannot be done depends on donations. On this website we present some of these projects.to you.
On behalf of our entire team, we sincerely thank you and look forward to contacting you .
