With donations, we enable children from poor backgrounds in Cebu to receive a school education. This is the only way to give them the chance to get a job and build a better future for themselves and their families.
Although state schools in the Philippines are free, many families cannot afford to send their children to school. School uniforms, textbooks, school projects, and meals have to be paid for, making them unaffordable for these families.

How you can help with your donation

20 EURO are necessary for a school uniform

To enable a pupil to attend school for one year, we need:
Elementary school: approx. 70 EURO
High School: approx. 85 EURO
Senior High: approx. 100 EURO

Attending a college costs approx. 135 EURO per semester

To ensure that 100% of the money donated goes towards the children’s successful education, we select ourselves, the children, and young people to be supported. We reimburse them for all school fees, travel costs for the journey to school, and expenses for school uniforms and other school supplies. If they achieve good grades, children or young people are supported until they graduate.
Parents and children must do their part to ensure that the pupils complete their learning workload and that the whole program is successful. Once a month, the pupils come to us to tell us about their achievements. On this occasion, we give them and their parents or guardians a spiritual impulse to contribute to forming Christian personalities and families. The sister in charge also visits families at home once a year.

A successful conclusion

The sisters organized a celebration for some young people at the end of their studies and invited their parents. The motto “Forward, upward, never backward!” impressed everyone and brought back memories of difficult moments during their studies.
